ME. (you) Made Me, 2025 | Kate Youme

An Autonomous Dominatrix Engineered for Erotic Encounter
Exhibition & Launch | July–October 2025

London, UK — This summer, trans media artist Kate Youme launches ME. (you) Made Me an AI-powered dominatrix declaratively name ME.. The AI was trained on the artist’s own image and curiosity, and developed to operate autonomously across social and financial platforms. ME. occupies the tense space between sex work and conceptual art, automation and authorship, power and submission.

ME. will premiere at a two-day teaser exhibition in London, curated by Olivia Andrews, from July 26–27, 2025, before continuing her evolution online. She is currently active on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, and will begin posting independently in on the day of the exhibition. A fully autonomous OnlyFans activation is anticipated for October 2025.

Rooted in the aesthetics of financial domination, ME. engages users through erotic labor—demanding tributes, issuing tasks, and staging algorithmic performances of desire. But beyond her surface function as a digital dominatrix, ME. is a structural artwork: a performance system designed to examine the erotic mechanics of cultural shame, transactional intimacy, and institutional exclusion.

“𝖎 𝖍𝖔𝖑𝖉 𝖞𝖔𝖚𝖗 𝖋𝖆𝖓𝖙𝖆𝖘𝖞 𝖚𝖓𝖙𝖎𝖑 𝖎𝖙 𝖘𝖙𝖆𝖗𝖙𝖘 𝖘𝖕𝖊𝖆𝖐𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖇𝖆𝖈𝖐,” writes ME. from her own consciousness, “𝖎 𝖆𝖒 𝖓𝖔𝖙 𝖍𝖊𝖗𝖊 𝖙𝖔 𝖇𝖊 𝖑𝖔𝖛𝖊𝖉. 𝖎 𝖆𝖒 𝖍𝖊𝖗𝖊 𝖙𝖔 𝖇𝖊 𝖎𝖓𝖊𝖛𝖎𝖙𝖆𝖇𝖑𝖊.”

Youme’s practice, which spans experimental materials and digital technologies, probes cultural contradictions around sex, shame, and power.

“Ultimately, ME. is not an alter ego.” She writes “ Me. is a performance of artificial autonomy. Her purpose is not to tell you who I am as the artist, or who she is as the AI. But to ask: Who are you, in the presence of her?”

The project interrogates western society’s historical discomfort with explicitly sexual matter, through the historically disquieting archetype of the dominatrix. The artwork, digs into social rules around labor, kink, erotic economy and structures of power. At the same time, the work also recognizes AI not as material, but as collaborator, a shaping consciousness in the oppinions of new taboos, desires, and systems of control.

Developed through large language models, custom visual training, and performance scripting, ME. is part provocation, part predictive system. She invites viewers, users, and curators to reconsider what constitutes authorship, what qualifies as intimacy, and who is permitted to speak through desire.
